In this monitor regional follow the evolution of the relative prices of key inputs that affect the activity of dairy production in the region as it is the&nbsp;<strong>Corn<\/strong>&nbsp;(the thermometer features food that takes more than 50% of the direct costs), the&nbsp;<strong>Diesel<\/strong>&nbsp;(impacts minimally on a 15% on cost of production), the&nbsp;<strong>Us dollar<\/strong>&nbsp;(more than 70% of the inputs of the activity listed in dollars), the&nbsp;<strong>Soy<\/strong>&nbsp;(the value of which affects the protein source of the rodeo dairy and, in almost all cases, the payment of the rent of the land in production (for the chilean case we use <strong>Wheat <\/strong>in place of soy) and the&nbsp;<strong>price of milk<\/strong>. Then you will find a graphic with the Evolution of the Index of Costs compiled for ease of comparison, and also a comparison chart with the relative evolution of the producer prices by country. Finally a graph of input\/output showing the pounds of corn that can be purchased with 1 lt of milk in each of the countries, as well as the current values of milk and corn to the producer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Usamos el mes de enero 2025=1 como punto de partida de la evoluci\u00f3n relativa de precios. De los gr\u00e1ficos es de destacar, la estabilidad en costos de alimentaci\u00f3n para todos menos Argentina que con el estancamiento de su precio desde junio 2025 desconfigur\u00f3 la ecuaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica de los tambos. Similar escenario presenta Brasil. Es notable el equilibrio uruguayo aunque su precio se ha ido cayendo con respecto a los costos. Chile es el \u00fanico cuya curva de precio navega por arriba de las curvas de costos. Analizando los precios de <strong>MARZO 2026<\/strong> observamos que el productor chileno y brasilero perciben los mejores precios ahora: 0,518 y 0,458 US$\/lt respectivamente seguido de cerca por el uruguayo con 0,422 y el argentino en 0,350 US$\/lt. En la primera (evoluci\u00f3n de precios internos para costos referidos al valor local de la leche) podemos observar que los productores argentinos, brasileros y chilenos muestran una curva ascendente en sus costos de producci\u00f3n, aunque Brasil y Chile se despegan bastante. Luego le sigue Argentina con un notable incremento de sus costos y finalmente Uruguay que presenta la mejor curva con una evoluci\u00f3n de costos relativos descendentes e inferior al resto de la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img data-dominant-color=\"f0eeee\" data-has-transparency=\"true\" style=\"--dominant-color: #f0eeee;\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"320\" src=\"https:\/\/dairylando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/iNDICE-COSTO-PRECIO-LITRO.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13270 has-transparency\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>En lo que hace a los costos de alimentaci\u00f3n, que mejoraron en todos los casos, el productor con la mejor relaci\u00f3n Ma\u00edz\/Leche en este momento es el chileno que con el ma\u00edz m\u00e1s caro compra 2,02 kg de ma\u00edz por litro de leche. Le siguen el brasilero y el argentino con 2,0 y 1.96 respectiva y finalmente el uruguayo bajo a 1,69 kg ma\u00edz\/lt. Los c\u00e1lculos corresponden a MARZO \u00a02026, mes que contamos los precios de leche al productor en todos los casos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img data-dominant-color=\"f6eac4\" data-has-transparency=\"true\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"480\" height=\"314\" src=\"https:\/\/dairylando.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/MAIZ-LECHE.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13271 has-transparency\" style=\"--dominant-color: #f6eac4; width:490px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>La evoluci\u00f3n relativa de los precios locales en d\u00f3lares muestra que entre la marcada declinaci\u00f3n de Brasil seguido por el de Argentina. Chile se destaca por un rebote mientras Uruguay se mantiene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img data-dominant-color=\"efecec\"
