We are sailing in the month peak of seasonal production that gives històricamente in October of each year. From 2015 to here, there was never so much milk and the accumulated January-September 2020 presentarìa a volume +8% compared to the same period of 2019, representing a litraje extra 2.2 million litres per day. Fortunately, the international market is enough to toned as well as for the local industry is exporting a +46.2 per cent more than last year. Consumption, in full pandemic, is +2% higher than the observed in 2019 in the same period. The level of stocks while they are higher than a year ago, not to arrive to a month of milk, bringing relief to the producer. The raw material prices started to climb from August.
Exports of dairy but they were basically due to three things: the increased availability of raw material, milk that exceeds the capacity of consumption of our internal market, an international market that, despite all the forecasts and expectations adverse keeps the price of milk powder (our main dairy exported) in a suitable value and is activated exports to Brazil and Algeria. The product that most grew in the export is the milk powder (LPE) with +109% in volume and +111% in value. The prospects are encouraging, since the futures market average for October, November and December, the 3.112 US$/ton Oceania (NZX). This combined with a dollar in future, average of the same period, 83 $/US$ would put a floor capacity of payment of 21.5 $/litre of milk to the producer.
