Grows the Index Dairy FAO

faoIt reversed the negative trend that came to hold the Index Dairy published by the FAO (United Nations Organization for Food), which since 2014 did not stop to fall (see chart).

The index FAO is the result of a measurement monthly 4 commodities dairy (butter, milk powder, skim milk powder and cheese) which takes the average of the quantities and prices are exported to the global market to the basket of products referred to. The values obtained are deflacionados and referrals after the period 2002-2004 taken as the value= 100.

The product that most influenced the change of trend is the milk powder with a sustained demand for asian countries including China. The butter is also found with prices affirmed.The skim milk powder and cheese keep their values stable.
