Why shut the drums..?

Carrera de menteThere is a strong economic pressure on the drums in general that force you to grow in production almost +4% per year just to cover the costs and remain in business. This is because the operating expenses show an increasing trend in the order of 380 litres/ha/year (see chart below with the Evolution of the Direct Costs and Structure (GD+EST) and Result for Production (RPP) average of the ISO drums CREATES in the last 11 years). Recall that the drums CREATES are distributed on all the dairy basin of Argentina and its production accounts for approximately 10% of the milk production at the national level.

This pressure is accentuated especially on the drums with less surface where growth options are more limited. In these cases also the issue of low-scale influences on income as it is still making a good return in the volume of money collected may not be sufficient to cover the needs of the owner/os.
