Rearrangement of the price of milk

IMG_1960The increase in the prices of dairy products in a gondola respond to an update indispensable to move price to the producer who comes falling down their production beyond what is seasonal due to the deterioration of relative prices. This move starts with increases in the price lists to output factory for shortage of some products (despite the lower power consumption) and supported in the most important export and liquidation of stocks.

1.- The yogurt and butter were the dairy with the largest increases in the series, although the yogurt -probably due to a drop in specific consumption - in the last few months pressed increases. Anyway, it is the only dairy that grew in constant currency with respect to the last months of February (see chart below).

5.- The price of the raw material has undergone a major adjustment to improve its ability to purchase placing feb/19 as the best of the last 4 years. It is a priority for the entire supply chain of dairy recover the price of the producer is outdated with respect to the critical inputs to produce milk, and it is going to improve the percent share of final Total price System. With 11.8 $/lt empardaría the relation Milk:Concentrated and 13.9 $/lt would drift with the dollar (70% of direct costs dairy farmers are tied to the u.s. currency).
