Dairy argentina, like dairies evolved in the world, travels a process of concentration. This process of concentration implies a decreasing number of dairy farms, which produce ever more milk. This process involves a variation in the way of doing things, that while there is a slow trend. During the period 1980-2002 disappeared 974 barrels/year, averaging a rate of-3.6% per year. After the crisis of 2001/02, the rate of disappearance is attenuated coming in at 2.4%, as representing the output of the activity for up to 200 barrels per year (for an analysis of the five-year 2016, was left out of the graph, but it is estimated that more than doubled the rate of closure).
The main curve of the graph that follows corresponds to the increasing trends in milk production at the national level in the last 35 years, and an estimated five-year course. The rest of the curves registers the factors that give rise to such milk, highlighting a reduction in the number of dairy farms and cows and an increase in the number of cows per farm and in the production of these cows. The amecetamiento of the curve of cows/dairy farm would be pointing out the main constraint to future growth. Reproductive issues, the loss of the rodeo by deaths and descartes and the production per cow acquire even greater relevance.
