Evolution of the production, post-crisis...

farm-milk-326681Analyzing the evolution of milk production in Argentina in the graph that accompanies it, we observed that during the crisis of 2001, to recover the volume of production of 1999 (peak prior to the crisis) took 7 years (1999-2006). If in the present crisis from which we are emerging, the production respond with similarity to what was the 1999-2006, recover production of the year 2015 (peak prior to the fall) would be 7 years or is that only in 2022, we would be back in that volume. In that case, the annual average increase would be of the order of +2%.

We have several factors that negatively affect that evolution, so that it could take more recovery:

1.- The price to the producer is to evolve more slowly in 1999-2006

2.- There are -4% fewer cows in that time

3.- The floods have caused a significant deterioration in several productive basins important

The variable favorable it is for now, a better relationship with milk/corn (+20%) and also that the cows now produce +14% over that time.
