The consumption of dairy products

consumoIn the period from January to September of 2016, the sales of dairy products (pesos per month) in supermarkets (turnover registered by INDEC) grew almost at the same rate as the increase in prices (mix of destinations registered by IAPUCO for the domestic market) of the same (+25% in both cases). But by analyzing the curves relating from January 2014 until September 2016, we observed that the sale of dairy products in the supermarket are maintained for up to the price increase (+110% versus 89%), containing the accumulation of stocks (stock in liters, equivalent at the end of each month). In the following graph we observe the evolution of the growth relative of the three curves starting from January 2014=1:

The increase in the prices of dairy products that has been experiencing the gondola tighten the string of the consumption, but it is still being depressed would be to avoid the accumulation of stocks (we hope to December 10, when the data updated, to be published).
