The month of march of 2020 ended with a volume of milk 793,7 million liters averaging 25.6 million/day which resulted in a -3.7% lower than that of February 2020 and +6,5% above the production in march 2019. Accumulated in the first quarter of 2020 exceeds +8.8% in the first quarter of 2019. It is worth mentioning that we are referencing with the summer of 2019 which was a period of a marked low production. This phenomenon was largely due to an unusual infestation of fly brava and other sucking insects that swarmed by the abundant rains, and in spite of averages of temperature lower than -1°C in the summer 2018, threw in the production down.
Assuming that the 1st half of 2020 to copy in 2018 and the 2nd half 2020 copy of 2019 (it is difficult to surpass as it was a period with a good price for the milk, optimal supply of silage maize are of very good quality and very good production per cow), we obtain a curve seasonal like the following, cumulative production that would result in a volume +2.8% higher to that of 2019:
In a year with a health crisis of historic, quarantine and generalized depression of international prices for milk powder, dairy chain to local shall see that it makes with the +800.000 lt/day extra for the top of the processed in 2019.
