The Undersecretariat of the Dairy industry of the Ministry of Agro-industry, since may of 2018 published by the expected information of milk production generated with the new sampling system of the Integrated System of Management of the Dairy Argentina (SIGLeA), linking data from AFIP, SENASA and MINAGRI. The importance of this new show is that it manages the data of 307 industries and 9,500 barrels of Argentina highlighting more than 90% of the national milk, a number far superior to the old sample of 18 companies that had been using (60%).
Today we know that the production of the year 2015, 12.061 million litres, was a historical record, and then bottomed out in 2017 with 10.097 million litres. The trend in the first months of 2018 had started with increases decreasing where we observe for the first quarter, a growth of +9.1% and then down to +6.8% for the first half of 2018 with respect to the same period in 2017. The 1st half of 2017 was very bad in terms of production so expect an attenuation greater for the rest of the year.
The evolution of seasonal explains in more detail the trend productive. There we observe the recorded production for July 2018 (897 Mill Lts) which turned out to be +4.1 per cent higher than July 2017 (861,4 Mill Lts) and +7.6 per cent higher than in June 2018 (834 Mill Lts):
With the current trend for the 2nd semester of 2018 (+4,1% on previous month)production of the full year would grow by +7%, totaling around 10.800 million litres.
