The decade won

The decade nostalgia of the dairy argentina, which took place between 1990 and 1999, observed a growth of the national production of milk at a rate of +7% per annum, when the value for the entire series of 50 is +3,1%...and for the past 20 years, a lean +0,55%.

In an attempt to explain the factors that allowed such development and also the part back we drew up the following box where you can feel some of the indicators that clearly differences in the "decade won" with respect to the following years.

In the decade of the nineties, the price of milk in constant currency averaged 0,325 US$/lt when the average of the 21 years following was 0.26 US$/lt (a -27% lower), had not withholdings to the export of dairy products, there was little competition with agriculture lowering the earth (25% of the drums working with 100% rented and 49% of the drums is part rented). There was quite a lot more drums and mainly more cows (+12% average decadico +30% more cows compared with the existing stock). Also the volume produced represented a low level of excess with respect to the domestic consumption...it seems that exceed a production of 250 lt/hab/year generates problems to the export sector.
