In a market sobreofertado it is natural that prices fall. From where and to where it is very difficult to estimate. But without a doubt in the back-and-forth of each sector of the dairy chain looking to sustain your business, you end up losing the weakest link. The atomization of the local production, 11.600 milk producers represented by 15 different institutions, which even some of them are in agreement, is the weakest link.
This is borne out in the following chart that illustrates the distribution of the price of the gondola between the stakeholders of the Dairy Chain in argentina. There we compare the evolution of the data published by IAPUCO from July 2014 to July 2015. The price of the gondola (the product mix according to target industrial) rose 9,59 to 11,01 (+15%) and the participation of the tambero fell from 32,8 to 27.9 percent losing 0,54 $/gallon:
