The Undersecretariat of the Dairy industry of the Ministry of Agro-industry, since may of 2018 published by the information production of milk generated with the new sampling system of the Integrated System of Management of the Dairy Argentina (SIGLeA), linking data from AFIP, SENASA and MINAGRI. The importance of this new show is that it manages the data of 400 industries and 9,500 tanks, Argentina relieving about 90% of the national milk, a number far superior to the old sample of 18 companies that had been using (60%).
Today we know that the production of the year 2015, 12.061 million litres, was a historical record, and then bottomed out in 2017 with 10.097 million litres. The trend in the first months of 2018 had started with increases decreasing where we observe for the first quarter, a growth of +9.1% and then down to +6.1% for the period January/September 2018 with respect to the same period in 2017. The difference with respect to 2017 it was fading out month-to-month to currently be very similar to that of 2017, with a spring production moderate. The end of the year by copying trend of the last quarter of 2017, the cumulative total for 2018 would add a few 10.663 million litres, a +5.6 per cent on 2017.
